When asked who people thought was the best NBA player of ALL time, Michael Jordan received 87% of the vote.  Kobe Bryant received 6.5% and an Other [someone was hyped on themselves] received 6.5%.  Michael Jordan is the most complete player to ever play the game and probably will be for the rest of time.

After being cut from his high school team, Michael Jordan put the entire basketball world under his sneakers.  He attended the best college in the United States The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he led the Tar Heels to a National Championship in 1982.  Jordan’s accomplishments don’t end there–winning slam dunk contests and gaining a reputation as one of the best defensive guards in the league.  Jordan retired 3 times, but a lot of people said he should have retired for good after his 1998 game-winning shot against the Jazz in Game 6 of the NBA Finals (pictured above).  His individual accolades include:

-5 League MVP awards

-6 NBA Championships (1991, 1992, 1993 and 1996, 1997, 1998)

-6 NBA Finals MVPs

-10 All-NBA First Team Honors

-9 All-Defensive First Team Honors

-14 All-Star Appearances; 3 MVPs

-10 scoring titles

-3 steals titles

-NBA record for highest career reg. season scoring average (30.12 points a game)

…that’s just the beginning.  Whether your favorite is LeBron, Kobe, Magic, Shaq, etc–NO ONE compares to Michael Jordan.  Take a second and pay homage.  [sidebar]–LOOK AT THE FAN’S FACES!!! They knew their chances were over.
