Peacedriven Campaign Accepting Submissions for 2009 Songwriting Contest
For Immediate Release
(New York, NY – September 18, 2009) – The Peacedriven Campaign (http://www.peacedriven.com) is now accepting submissions for the 2009 Peacedriven Songwriting Award. Now in its fourth year, the contest recognizes songwriters who are using music to inspire social change.
The contest is open to all genres and songwriters can submit their recordings online (http://www.sonicbids.com/peacedriven) or by mail until December 22, 2009.
A panel of music industry professionals and social activists will select one winner based on originality, lyrics and melody. The winner will receive the annual Peacedriven Songwriting Award, a $200 cash prize and a feature on Peacedriven.com. Five other finalists will also be featured on the website.
“Each year, I am more and more inspired by the quality of songs that are submitted,” says Peacedriven Executive Director Anthony Stokes. “The Peacedriven Campaign is committed to honoring these songwriters and helping to bring this music to the public.”
The Peacedriven Songwriting Award is sponsored by the Peacedriven Campaign, Sonicbids.com and YEAH Entertainment.
