Phoenix Mercury win their 2nd Franchise WNBA Championship..
With probably the best trio in the WNBA, Diana Taurasi, Cappie Pondexter, and Penny Taylor anchored the Mercury to their 2nd franchise title in 3 years. The regular season MVP, Diana Taurasi (who was also the Finals MVP), had 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Cappie Pondexter added 24 points. Indiana Fever, the Eastern Conference champions, came SO close to a championship. Their best player, Tamika Catchings (who is INCREDIBLE) had 16 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 5 steals, and 2 blocks. The title was well deserved by the Mercury, who had the best regular season record. Wait until next year…Candice Parker is going to go back and bang on a couple shorties. lol..
